How was your Month of September?
We have had an exciting month of networking and giving back to our charities that we kindly support in the business.
Firstly, we attended the Women’s Entrepreneurial Leadership event in conjunction with Babson College, USA, and it was hosted by our mutual friends Frank and Eileen from Wise Music Group. At this event, we learned about initiatives, research, and programmes that are driving economic growth, innovation, and positive social impact across the globe.
We-are-HR joined the Babson Network and connected with Shakenna Williams, Ph.D. who has kindly agreed to host a webinar on Entrepreneurial Leadership in the new year! Click below link to read more about this initiative!
Building a career in the HR profession requires a combination of education, experience, skills development, networking, and CPD.
– Natasia Hieber MA Chartered MCIPD PGCE
We also spoke at the Black Women In HR – BWHR conference on Growing Your Career in the HR Profession, where the importance of the HR Profession was reinforced as playing a pivotal role in organisations, contributing significantly to organisational success and effectiveness. Recognising the multifaceted nature of the role of HR is essential for HR professionals, as it enables us to be kinder to ourselves!
The HR profession focuses on an organisation’s most valuable asset: its people. HR professionals ensure that the right talent is in place, that employees are engaged and supported, and that the organisation operates with ethics and compliance.

We-are-HR attended the St Mary’s Hospital Trust Fundraising Event at the Blue Rooms, Fulham, where we managed to catch up with Kathi Leon to find out the fantastic news that Oscar is fully on the mend and recovering very well.
Our Building Resilience Webinar featuring Dr Jo Burrell from Ultimate Resilience and Jo-Anne Scott from Resolve HR had over 70 attendees online! It was extremely insightful, with lots of practical advice.
Find out your level of resilience by taking the Brief Resilience Scale, which measures your ability to bounce back or recover from stress in the link above.
Ultimate Resilience is offering a Well-being Survey service for organisations to assess the well-being of their employees. Details of this are in the link above.
If you can please spend a moment to complete this well-being survey on behalf of Ultimate Resilience, feedback from the survey will be discussed in our November 30th Webinar, which will be on Winter Well-being subject where you will receive a free 30-minute mindfulness session!
On the solutions side of the business, we have been busy working on the theme of SMARTER working practices. We recognise that clients are struggling to manage remote workers, and having clear objectives that are measurable is a huge starting point for achieving organisational goals.
If you are a growing organisation and you require more clarity around SMARTER working practices and are keen to upskill managers on these practices, we would love to assist with clarity around what needs to be done and by setting some clear frameworks for success. Lastly, please join us at our Employment Law Updates 2023 Webinar Live-online on October 26th from 6:30–7:30pm with Jeremy Coy a Senior Associate from Russell-Cooke Solicitors who focuses on advising employees and employers on disciplinary matters, grievances, redundancy, unfair dismissal, discrimination, whistleblowing, settlement agreements, and Employment Tribunal litigation.
