We’re pleased to announce that We-are-HR is now a PeopleCert Accredited Training Organisation, expanding our professional qualifications into project management with PRINCE2® Project Management (Version 7).
For We-are-HR, this is a natural extension of what we already do: helping professionals develop recognised skills and qualifications that support their progression at work.
Learners will now be able to study PRINCE2® Foundation, PRINCE2® Practitioner, or Foundation and Practitioner together as a combined pathway with We-are-HR.
What does being a PeopleCert Accredited Training Organisation mean?
PeopleCert is the examination institute and official accreditation body behind PRINCE2®.
Becoming a PeopleCert Accredited Training Organisation (ATO) means We-are-HR is approved to provide training for PeopleCert certification programmes, including PRINCE2® Project Management.
For learners, this provides the reassurance that their PRINCE2® training is being delivered through an accredited provider and follows the requirements associated with the official certification.
Why are we introducing PRINCE2®?
Projects are not limited to people with “Project Manager” in their job title.
Implementing a new HR system, introducing a service, improving an internal process, managing organisational change or delivering a client initiative can all involve project work.
That’s one of the reasons we see project management as a valuable addition to our existing professional learning portfolio.
PRINCE2® provides a structured method for managing projects, with clear principles, practices, processes, responsibilities and decision points. Version 7 also places greater emphasis on people, sustainability, digital and data management within today’s project environment.
What is PRINCE2® Project Management?
PRINCE2® is a structured project management method designed to help organisations and professionals manage projects in a controlled, adaptable and clearly defined way.
The method provides guidance around questions such as:
- Why is the project being undertaken?
- Who is responsible for what?
- How should the project be planned and controlled?
- How should risks, issues and changes be managed?
- How is progress monitored?
- When should key decisions be made?
Rather than being specific to one industry, PRINCE2® can be tailored to different types, sizes and complexities of projects.

Which PRINCE2® courses will We-are-HR offer?
We-are-HR will provide three routes, allowing learners to choose the pathway that best reflects their existing knowledge and goals.
PRINCE2® Project Management Foundation (Version 7)
Foundation is the starting point for learners who want to understand how the PRINCE2® method works.
It introduces the method’s principles, practices, processes, terminology and project roles. No previous PRINCE2® qualification is required.
PRINCE2® Project Management Practitioner (Version 7)
Practitioner is designed for learners who are ready to move from understanding the method to applying and tailoring it to different project situations.
Entry requirements apply, and eligible qualifications are required before taking the Practitioner certification.
PRINCE2® Foundation & Practitioner Combined
For learners who already know they want to complete both levels, the Combined option provides Foundation and Practitioner together through one learning pathway.
Rather than enrolling separately at each stage, learners can plan their complete route from Foundation through to Practitioner from the beginning.

Who can benefit from studying PRINCE2®?
PRINCE2® isn’t only relevant to established Project Managers.
It can also be useful for Project Coordinators, Project Support professionals, Team Leaders, Managers, Change professionals and people whose roles involve planning or delivering projects.
It’s also particularly relevant to professionals moving into roles where they are expected to take greater responsibility for projects, even when project management isn’t their primary job title.
For our existing HR and management community, that crossover is important. Many HR and business professionals are already involved in projects such as organisational change, HR technology implementation, restructuring, learning initiatives and process improvement.
They may already be doing project work without formally calling it project management.
