July 2023 Newsletter

Dear Readers,

How was your Month of July?

At We-are-HR, we have been busy with the launch of our partnership with TalentPredix the next generation strengths assessment. We recognise that People Professionals need to further their understanding of themselves, as knowing how to hone your strengths and build on your standout differences will enable People Professionals to build more diverse, inclusive, and thriving work places.

Our popular launch webinar on the 13th July with James Brook, was a milestone event, with a number of attendees asking relevant questions around the Career Conversation Process. Once you have your best self-DNA from the Strengths Assessment, it’s important to reflect and

understand your strengths, skills, blind spots, and improvement areas before having those Career Conversations.

Some of the key takeaways from the webinar are:

  • – Career thriving involves: Physical and Psychological Safety, Belonging, Achievement and Growth.
  • – The Career Conversation Process involves: Knowing yourself, Exploring your options, Developing a plan, and Creating your future.
  • – Amplify your standout talents and strengths by focusing on your talents, motivation, and abilities to stand out and achieve success.
  • – Understand your “Best Self” through your: Talents, Career Drivers and Values
  • – Develop in-demand skills: Creative Problem Solving, Digital literacy, Communication and influence, Critical Thinking, Emotional Intelligence and Learning and Curiosity.
  • – Ask for more “Feedback”
  • – It is important to positively stretch yourself to get to the zone of stretch and growth.
  • Strive to get 1% better every day = The Compound Effect

On the solutions side of the business, we are busy working on supporting a number of clients who are struggling to manage remote workers, we have created a guideline template of do’s and don’ts when managing remotely with a focus on trust and empathy! We recognise that managers prefer to see workers in the office, but we feel that “Presentism” is out-dated with “remotism” having more of an impact. Our clients feel supported with our guidance and Line Management Training on how to effectively manage remote workers. If you are an organisation facing some of these issues, we have some effective solutions that we are happy to share. Please do not hesitate to make contract! I’d welcome a chat! Click here.
